PARKING BRAKE CAN BE RELEASED BEFORE FULL AIR PRESSURE IS ACHIEVED
R/2017/023 · 25 Jan 2017
25 Jan 2017Defect
The multi-circuit protection valve section of the Air Processing Unit (APU) has been incorrectly piped. The consequence is that the driver could release the park brake without sufficient pressure in the service brake circuits for them to function as the driver would expect. In this condition the red low pressure warning light for service brake circuits will either be independently illuminated or both together plus the low air pressure buzzer will be sounding.
Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to change the position of two air pipes on the APU unit.

DIRECTIONAL CONTROL MAY BE LOST
R/2016/044 · 9 Mar 2016
9 Mar 2016Defect
Bolts (identified by CFL marking on head) connecting the lower wishbone assemblies to the vehicle chassis may be out of specification and at risk of failure. The failure of a single bolt is expected to have no adverse effect on the handling or integrity of the vehicle. A secondary failure mode on more than one bolt is likely to result in an unstable vehicle that will be difficult to control and will not handle in a normal way. The risk is that the driver could lose control of the vehicle.
Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and where a lower wishbone assembly is found to besecured with bolts marked CFL the bolts will be replaced with a bolt manufactured by a different supplier. All eight bolts in the lower wishbone assemblies irrespective of the manufacturer of the originally fitted bolt will be replaced when one or more bolts with the CFL marking are replaced.
