  1. ENGINE MAY STALL AND/OR FAIL TO START

    RM/2016/004 · 8 Feb 2016

    8 Feb 2016

    Defect

The regulator/rectifier circuit board may have absorbed moisture during storage under high humidity conditions which reduced the strength of the adhesive used to fix the circuit board to the outer casing. Due to the insufficient adhesion the heat generated can cause the circuit board to deform and lift away from the case. This condition causes excessive heat and uncontrolled electric current output which can result in the poor charging to the battery. This can cause the battery to discharge and lead to engine stalling and/or a no-start condition.

    Remedy

Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the regulator/rectifier.

    Build window

    Built 18 Jan 2008 – 8 Jun 2010

    ~21,081 vehicles affected

  2. ENGINE MAY STALL AND/OR FAIL TO START

  3. REAR DRIVE COULD COME OFF SPROCKETS

    RM/2014/026 · 30 Oct 2014

    30 Oct 2014

    Defect

The left hand drive chain adjuster block may deform and in certain riding conditions allow the adjuster to move forward in the swing arm and cause the rear drive chain to become slack. In the worse case the chain could come off the sprockets while the engine is running and possibly damage the engine.

    Remedy

Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the drive chain adjuster blocks and nut.

    Build window

    Built 30 Nov 2010 – 16 Jul 2014

    ~3,752 vehicles affected

  4. REDUCTION IN BRAKING EFFICIENCY

    RM/2013/028 · 4 Nov 2013

    4 Nov 2013

    Defect

Moisture is absorbed by the brake fluid over time due to its hygroscopic nature. This moisture can cause corrosion to form in the piston and return spring within the brake master cylinder. As this corrosion forms it can cause the fluid to react and produce a small amount of gas. This gas may give a softer or spongy feel to the brake lever. In extreme cases this could reduce braking efficiency.

    Remedy

Recall all affected machines and replace the brake master cylinder.

    Build window

    Built 1 Feb 2005 – 10 Jun 2013

    ~29,422 vehicles affected
