POSSIBLE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL

The lower steering column shaft may be too short and in a worst case separate from the steering box input shaft.
Remedy
Recall potentially affected vehicles measure the length of the lower steering column shaft and replace where necessary.

POSSIBLE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL

The steering box extension may have been omitted during build. In consequence the steering shaft could pull off the steering box when the cab is tilted resulting in loss of steering.
Remedy
Recall the affected vehicles and where required fit the extension to the steering box. At the same time new clamp bolts and nuts will be fitted to the steering shaft assemblies.

FOUL CONDITION BETWEEN STARTER SOLENOID AND FUEL INJECTION PUMP

It is possible that a terminal on the starter solenoid may foul on the fuel injection pump causing a short circuit and a potential risk of fire.
Remedy
Recall the affected vehicles and reposition/rotate the starter solenoid on the engine mounting bracket to effect a non foul condition.

UNSCHEDULED BRAKE APPLICATION

Some braking system air pipes are routed in close proximity to the exhaust system tail pipe. In consequence heat radiation from the exhaust can cause pipe failure and unscheduled application of the spring brakes.
Remedy
Recall the affected vehicles and modify the air pipe securing arrangement to provide additional clearance between the pipes and the exhaust system.

STEERING COLUMN FIXING BOLT OF INCORRECT SPECIFICATION

The fixing nut and bolt which secures the steering column to the steering box is not to the correct specification.
Remedy
All subject vehicles to have the fixing nut and bolt replaced with quality assured items.

SEIZURE OF STEERING COLUMN COUPLING SLIDING SPLINE

The steering column sliding connection may seize on its lower splines. This can cause vertical loading on the clamping bolts and eventually lead to steering failure.
Remedy
Recall the affected vehicles and replace the steering column lower sliding shaft with a sealed for life version. The clamp bolts will also be renewed.

CHASSIS JUNCTION BOX WIRING

Some vehicles have been fitted with chassis junction box connector blocks which are not to the manufacturer's specification. This can result in overloading of the negative link wires and loss of the negative circuit.
Remedy
Recall and examine all potentially affected vehicles to establish if they have been fitted with the incorrect connector blocks. Where identified these blocks will be replaced with quality assured versions.

DISCONNECTION OF CERTAIN BRAKING SYSTEM PIPE FITTINGS

There is a possibility that certain of the push in pipe connections on the braking system may detach resulting in unscheduled application of the brakes.
Remedy
Recall the affected vehicles for replacement of the appropriate fittings with compression joints.

INADVERTENT MOVEMENT OF DRIVING SEAT

The air suspended/air operated driving seat may rise to its full height limit and remain in that position regardless of prior adjustment.
Remedy
Recall the affected vehicles and modify the driving seat internal valve assembly to eliminate the possibility of the seat inadvertently rising.

POSSIBLE LOOSENING OF STEERING BOX MOUNTING BRACKET

The spot weld on the steering gear mounting bracket may prevent the flanged nuts on the bolts securing the bracket to the chassis frame from seating correctly. This could result in the bracket working loose from the chassis frame with an adverse affect
Remedy
Recall the affected vehicles and substitute Hex Clevelok nuts for the original flanged examples.
