    Defect

    Due to a deviation in the production process the wheel may crack and possibly fracture between the ventilation holes of the rim.

    Remedy

    On affected vehciles replace wheels.

  3. DRIVER'S SEAT BACKREST MAY DETACH FROM SEAT BASE

    Due to a deviation in the manufacturing process the back rest on the driver's seat may have a lower durability than designed. This may cause it to come loose or detach.

    Remedy

    On affected models with a Premium driver's seat replace the seat back rest.

  4. POTENTIAL OF SMOKE AND NON START

    The wiring connectors in the main junction box located in the engine compartment may not have been torqued correctly. This could lead to loose connections initially causing smoke being emitted and if ignored the vehicle not starting.

    Remedy

    Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check whether the torque for the electrical connections are to specification. Where necessary adjust the torque to specification.

  5. BRAKING PERFORMANCE MAY BE LOST

    It is possible that some brake hoses within the brake system may have been manufactured without the crimping of the clamping sleeve. This could result in the detachment of a hose from its connection. If this occurred then it could result in the braking efficiency being lost from a wheel station or the application of the parking brake. In extreme cases this could affect the directional control of the vehicle.

    Remedy

    Recall all affected vehicle to check and if required replace the brake hoses with a quality assured hose.

  6. DIRECTIONAL STABILITY & CONTROL MAY BE AFFECTED

    It has been identified that the torque of the anti-roll bar may not be to specification. This could result in the securing screws/bolts failing allowing anti-roll bar to become insecure and affect the stability or directional control of the vehicle.

    Remedy

    Recall all affected vehicles to check and if require re-torque the mounting screws/bolts.

  7. POSSIBLE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL

    Defect

    It has been identified that during production the nuts on the track rod end clamps may not have been tightened to the correct torque resulting in insufficient clamping force on the joint. Under conditions of high steering load the track rod may detach resulting in loss of steering control.

    Remedy

    Recalled vehicles will have the track rod end clamps checked and changed as necessary.

  8. AXLE MAY BECOME INSECURE

    It has been identified that during production the U bolt nuts on all axles may not have been tightened to the correct torque.

    Remedy

    Recalled vehicles will have the U bolt nuts checked for correct torque. The U bolts will be changed if any of the nuts are found to be loose.

  9. EBS MAY FAIL

    There have been instances where the Electronic Brake System Module has stopped working leaving only the normal braking system.

    Remedy

    Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the Electronic Brake System Module with a quality assured unit.
