    Defect

    It is possible that the steering rack pinion nose bearing may have been omitted during manufacture. This would result in stiffness of the steering.

    Remedy

    The affected vehicles will be recalled and examined to establish that the pinion nose bearing has been fitted. Where the bearing is found to be missing the steering rack will be replace with quality assured unit.
