Affected vehicles may have been built with damaged encoder rings. This may cause a loss of wheel speed signal (WSS) which may disable the Electronic Stability Control (ESC).

Remedy

The repair involves an inspection and if necessary replace the front wheel bearing hub assembly/encoder ring.

Affected vehicles may have a Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) that may have been built with an insufficient weld between an internal flexible flat cable (FFC) and busbar. This may prevent deployment of the driver airbag resulting in increased risk of injury to the driver in a crash.

Remedy

Inspect and if necessary replace the Steering Column Control Module.
