  26. FRONT SUSPENSION SPRING MAY BREAK

    In countries where salt is used extensively on the roads the paint sub layer on certain springs produced over a specific manufacturing period shows very little resistance to corrosion. This can in exceptional circumstances cause a front suspension spring to break with the attendant risk that the spring could contact the tyre.

    Remedy

    To prevent an occurrence of this type likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled at which time a suspension cup will be fitted on each front side of the vehicle to prevent a failed spring from making contact with the tyre.
