Affected vehicles may have been fitted with fuel return pipes not according to specification which can lead to a fuel leak.

Check the fuel return pipes and replace if necessary.

Update the configuration in the body control module.

On affected vehicles the Automatic Emergency Brake (AEB) function may remain deactivated in a specific use case.

Update the Front Camera software to ensure correct activation / deactivation of the AEB system.

On affected vehicles a low AdBlue level message may not be displayed on the Instrument Panel Cluster. This could lead to the possibility of not being able to start the vehicle due to an empty AdBlue tank.

Remedy

Update the Instrument Panel Cluster software.

On affected vehicles the traffic sign recognition function does not meet regulatory requirements. After de-activation it will remain de-activated even after vehicle restart.

Remedy

Update the radio software via over-the-Air.

Affected vehicles may have been fitted with a metal Manufacturer plate located in the engine compartment that shows the wrong weight values. This can lead to a non-compliance to regulatory requirements.

Remedy

Check and replace the metal Manufacturer plate.

Some vehicles have been produced without the required earthing connection on the protective cover of the high voltage connection box.

Remedy

Check the affected vehicles and add the missing earthing connection wire between the box and the body if necessary.

Affected vehicles are not fully compliant to European regulation (165/2014 + EU 799/2016) covering the �Smart Tachograph� requirements.

Remedy

Replacing the tachograph gearbox and on certain vehicles the windscreen depending on the specification of the vehicle.

Check the front hub assembly and replace if required.

On the affected vehicles the tightening of a sealing plug on the engine oil gallery may not be correct to specification.This could lead over time to an oil leak which in rare cases could result in oil leaking on to the road.

Remedy

The remedy consists of tightening the engine oil gallery sealing plug to the correct torque

The spare wheel winch may fail and not secure the wheel to the vehicle so allowing it to detach from the vehicle.

Remedy

Recall all affected vehicles and replace the spare wheel winch.

Recall all affected vehicles and replace the spare wheel winch.

Braking assistance could be adversely by freezing of moisture that may accumulate in the vacuum circuit.

Remedy

Recall the vehicles that may be affected and fit a separate air vent complete with filter to each electro valve fitted to the vacuum circuit.

Defect

There is a possibility that the handbrake mechanism is not to the correct specification and as a result there is a possibility that under certain conditions the vehicle could roll away.

Remedy

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and inspect and test the handbrake mechanism. If necessary replace the brake pads and re-adjust the handbrake cable as specified.

Defect

It has become necessary to check the front brake hoses and improve their protection. In extreme cases wear on the hose caused by chafing against the wheel arch could cause a brake fluid leak. The presence of which would initially illuminate the red warning lamp on the dashboard.

Remedy

Recall likely to be affected vehicles and check the condition of the front brake hoses. If found to suffering a chafe situation the hoses will be changed. If not the hoses will be checked for orientation and fitted with an additional protective device.

The accelerator pedal may not return correctly.

Remedy

Recall likely to be affected vehicles and replace the accelerator pedal end stop.

Defect

The handbrake adjustment system may be unreliable which will reduce its efficiency under certain conditions.

Remedy

Check adjust and/or replace the brake shoe mechanisms.

There is a possibility that the wiring loom may be damaged as a result of contact being made between components in the heater blower and gear lever. This may result in a short circuit and failure of the heater.

Remedy

Recall affected vehicles and fit a protector and an additional grooved sleeve.

There is a risk that the secondary handbrake cable could become detached from the rear brake mechanism causing the handbrake to become ineffective.

Remedy

Check that the handbrake cable is correctly located in the rear brake mechanism. If it is not a new cable will be fitted.

The fuel tank could be insecure due to the cross member carrying the fuel tank rear fixings not being to the correct specification.

Remedy

Recall affected vehicles to carry out a modification to the fuel tank rear mountings.

An incorrect load sensitive rear brake compensator may have been fitted to some boxer vehicles.

Remedy

Potentially affected vehicles are being recalled to have the compensator examined. Vehicles equipped with an incorrect unit will have this replaced with the correct type.

As a result of incorrect material specification the brake servo diaphragm may fail. This would result in extra pedal effort and an increase in stopping distance.

Affected vehicles are being recalled to have the brake servo replaced with a quality assured unit.
