DAMAGE TO FRONT BRAKE HOSES

The protective wire shroud on the front brake hoses may contact and in extreme cases puncture the rubber outer casing of the hose. This would allow fluid to escape and adversely affect the braking system.
Remedy

POSSIBLE BRAKE IMBALANCE

A batch of braking system hoses may not be to specification. This could result in a narrowing of the hose inner diameter with a possibility of brake imbalance.
Remedy

POSSIBLE MALFUNCTION OF HANDBRAKE CONTROL VALVE

The handbrake valve may not have been adequately lubricated on initial assembly. This could result in premature wear of the locking plunger with the risk of the handbrake being dislodged from the ON position.
Remedy

There is a possibility that on some vehicles incorrect brake adaptors may have been fitted to the rear brake hydraulic calipers.
Remedy
