  1. VEHICLE MAY ROLL AWAY

    Defect

    It has been identified that in extreme cases the mechanical lock of the Wabco park brake valve (81.52315-6089 or 81.52315-6090) may release by itself. If this occurs then there is the possibility that the vehicle could roll away.

    Remedy

    Recall all the affected vehicles and replace the park brake valve.

  2. STEERING MAY FAIL

    Defect

    It has been identified that the connection between the steering shaft and the fork on the steering propshaft may work loose. This if ignored it has the potential to cause the steering to fail.

    Remedy

    Subject vehicles will have the steering shafts checked and replaced as necessary.

  3. STEERING ARM BOLTS BECOME LOOSE

    Defect

    New longer bolts were fitted during a recall where spacer plates were fitted between the steering arms and their mountings. It is thought that on some vehicles the bolts were not correctly torqued and therefore there is a possibility that they could become loose.

    Remedy

    Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected so that the bolts can be inspected if necessary replaced and correctly torqued.

  4. STEERING DAMPER FOULING POWER STEERING PIPES

    Steering damper and or its mountings may foul power steering pipes or other components depending on the axle variant and use. This could result in the loss of power steering assistance and or fouling of other components.

    Remedy

    Remove all steering damper components and mounting brackets as required.
