  1. STEERING CONTROL MAY BE LOST

    Defect

    The axle fastner of the rear axle panhard rod may fail. This will initially cause lateral movement of the axle which if ignored may lead to loss of directional control.

    Remedy

    Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the axle fastner of the panhard rod.

  2. WATER PUMP PULLEY MAY SHEAR FROM ITS BOSS

    Defect

    The water pump pulley may shear from it's boss and cause failure of the drive to the brake vacuum and power steering pumps. This will result in a loss of power assistance to the brakes and steering systems.

    Remedy

    Modify the water pump pulley mounting arrangement.
