PARKING BRAKE MAY NOT ACTIVATE CORRECTLY
R/2016/295 · 16 Jan 2017
16 Jan 2017Defect
It has been identified that due to the incorrect programming of the Brake Control Module there is a possibility that the parking brake may not be set automatically when the Brake Hold or Hill Assist System is deactivated by certain conditions for example the unfastening of the drivers seat belt while the system is enabled. When this occurs the system is designed to deactivate the brake hold function sound a warning buzzer display a message in the instrument cluster and automatically set the parking brake. If this should occur and the transmission is left in a gear other than Park then the vehicle could creep forward or backward increasing the risk of a collision.
Remedy
Recall all the affected vehicles and reprogramme the Brake Control Module with the new correct software.

LOSS OF STABILITY
R/2015/110 · 10 Jul 2015
10 Jul 2015Defect
The subject vehicles are equipped with the Anti-Lock Braking system (ABS) Traction Control System (TRAC) and Vehicle Stability Control System (VSC) which are controlled by the ABS actuator. Due to the improper shape of a component inside the ABS actuator there is a possibility that a resin component could be damaged during its press fitting assembly creating minute resin fragment(s) which could become stuck in the actuator. If this occurs the oil pressure control may be delayed when the Anti-Lock Brakes are activated causing a loss of vehicle stability and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and where necessary replace the ABS Actuator with a new one.
