    It has been identified that the Central Brake Unit and Rear Axle Modulator units may not function as intended. This can cause a higher braking retardation or quicker braking than anticipated. This can result in the vehicle stopping quicker that expected.

    Remedy

    Recall all affected vehicles to check the production dates of the Central Brake Unit and Rear Axle Modulator units and change the units if found to be within the affected production range.

    It has been identified that the swivel head on the hydraulic operating cylinder for the second steer axle may not have been installed to IVECO's specification. This can cause fouling of other components which may affect the directional control of the vehicle.

  5. BRAKING EFFICIENCY MAY BE COMPROMISED

    Due to continuous quality control it has shown on a limited number of vehicles it may be necessary to replace a component of the brake valve EBS2 in order to ensure perfect efficiency of the braking system.Failure to replace the component described could compromise the correct operation of the braking system.

    Replacement of the relay piston / sealing ring on the brake value of the EBS2 (CBU) tractor.

  8. STEERING CONTROL COULD BE LOST

    The second axle steering ram and/or clevis assembly may not be to specification which will result in some movement between the mounting and the ram. If ignored the movement will increase with usage and could eventually lead to separation of the ram and mounting resulting in the steering control being impaired.

  17. PROPSHAFT MAY CONTACT AXLE BEAM

    Under certain circumstances it is possible that the distance between the propshaft and the second front axle may be insufficient. Should axle/propshaft contact be made damage to one or both of these components might ensue.

    Remedy

    Recalled vehicles will have the clearance between the propshaft and the second front axle beam checked. Should the clearance be outside of the specified parameters the suspension will be adjusted.

  19. POSSIBILITY THAT THE CAB TILTING CYLINDER BRACKET MAY DEFORM

    The possibility exists that the bracket which carries the cab tilt cylinder may deform. This can lead to unforeseen dropping of the cab when in the tilted position.

    Remedy

    Recalled vehicles will have the relevant bracket inspected and repaired/modified as dictated by the Iveco Market Help Desk. In all cases the lift mechanism hydraulic pressure will be reduced from 370 to 310 bar.
