  1. ENGINE COULD BE STARTED FROM CHASSIS CONTROL WITH CAB TILTED AND TRANSMISSION IN DRIVE

  2. POSSIBLE DISCONNECTION OF THE SPRING PARKING BRAKE AIR PIPE.

    Defect

    The air pipe connection between the spring brake cylinder on the rear axle and the chassis may not have been fully tightened. This may cause the brakes to drag and overheat or lock on whilst the vehicle is in motion.

    Remedy

    Check the security of the parking brake air pipe connections and tighten where necessary

  3. (1) FRONT BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSES MAY LEAK FLUID (2) COLD START SYSTEM WIRING MAY OVERHEAT

    (1) Front brake flexible hoses are not to the specification consequently they may leak hydraulic fluid. (2) Engine cold start system wiring may overheat with a consequential fire risk.

    Remedy

    (1) Fit new front brake hoses. (2) Modify the cold start system control.

  6. WHEEL NUT SPIGOT WASHERS MAY CRACK.

    The integral washer on the wheel retaining nuts may crack at maximum torque. The subject nuts have all been supplied by one of two manufacturers.

    Remedy

    All potentially affected vehicles will be recalled. Those identified as having the subject wheel nuts will have the nuts replaced with quality assured versions.

  7. SERVICE BRAKE CONTROL VALVE

    Recall the defective vehicles to check the subject valve. Defective valves will be replaced with a new unit.

  8. POSSIBLE INADVERTENT OPERATION OF DRIVERS SEAT

    Remedy

    Recall the affected vehicles for replacement of the original air tank mounting brackets with modified examples.

  10. POSSIBLE INSECURITY OF STEERING ARM FIXING BOLTS

    The bolts securing the steering arms to the stub axles may not have been sufficiently torqued at initial assembly. Should these bolts loosen this could lead to eventual loss of steering control.

    Remedy

    Recall the affected vehicles and check the torque of the steering arm fixing bolts. Where this is found to be insufficient the bolts will be inspected and if necessary renewed.
