  1. BRAKE LIGHTS MAY MALFUNCTION

    Defect

    The vehicles brake lights may intermittently malfunction due to carbonisation of the contacts within the brake light switch. This can also affect other systems on the vehicle including: ESC cruise control gear selection (autoboxes) engine check lamp.

    Remedy

    Recall the vehicle that are likely to be affected to replace the brake light switch.

  2. FRACTURE OF FRONT SUSPENSION COIL SPRING

    Defect

    There is a possibility that the front suspension coil spring could break. Should this occur the unseated section of the spring could puncture the tyre.

    Remedy

    Affected vehicles are being recalled for examination of the front coil springs and the installation of a protector which would prevent a broken coil spring from penetrating the tyre.
