It has been identified that a fitting in the emergency line had been supplied which was not suitable for trailer braking applications and had the potential to split open during operation. Should the fitting fail the trailer brakes would apply in the emergency mode.
Remedy
Recalled vehicles will have the subject fitting replaced with a fitting which is suitable for the application.
