  6. ENGINE SUSPENSION REACTION BRACKET NOT FITTED ON THE TRANSMISSION SIDE

    Defect

    Some vehicles were assembled without the engine suspension reaction bracket fitted on the transmission side. The vehicles must be repaired by fitting the missing components (transmission reaction bracket and washer). The defect can be detected by noise and vibration being emitted from the front area of the vehicle. If ignored a possible consequence is a failed differential box resulting in oil leakage and in some cases the drive shaft could become disengaged and drop below the vehicle whilst in motion.

    Remedy

    Fit the missing components (transmission reaction bracket and washer).

  15. BRAKES MAY FAIL

    Due to the possibility of a fault in the production process the flexible rubber brake hoses may not have been correctly vulcanised. As a consequence may partially or totally restrict the internal flow of the brake hydraulic fluid. Should this happen a reduction in efficiency during braking would occur.

    Remedy

    Recalled vehicles will have the hoses checked to identify if they are within the affected batch. If this is the case they will be replaced with quality assured items.

  16. FUEL MAY LEAK

    Fuel delivery pipe adjacent to air filter may chafe. This in time could lead to leakage of fuel in the engine compartment and a consequent risk of fire.

    Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the fuel delivery pipe and where necessary replace the pipe containment channel.

  17. ENGINE POWER MAY BE LOST

    It is possible that breakage of the ancillary devices pulley on the crankshaft may occur. Should this happen there is the possibility that engine power and functions such as power assisted steering and braking assistance may be lost.

    Remedy

    Recalled vehicles will have the crankshaft pulley inspected and changed should this be necessary.
