  2. Fiat Professional Ducato. Instrument panel cluster software

    On affected vehicles the Automatic Emergency Brake (AEB) function may remain deactivated in a specific use case. If the customer seeks to reactivate the AEB after previously deactivating it during the same driving cycle (key on/off) it will remain deactivated however the icon on the cluster to alert about deactivation remains off. This does not meet regulatory requirements.

  19. POWER STEERING PUMP MAY FAIL

    The batch number of the power steering pump must be checked and if found to be from a faulty batch replaced. On the faulty batches there is nonconformity of the external supply and in certain circumstances the power steering pump may fail causing the driver to use additional input to steer the vehicle therefore delaying the directional movement of the vehicle.

    Remedy

    Check the production date of the pump and if the power steering pump is from a faulty batch replace the pump.

    Due to the possibility of a fault in the production process the flexible rubber brake hoses may not have been correctly vulcanised. As a consequence may partially or totally restrict the internal flow of the brake hydraulic fluid. Should this happen a reduction in efficiency during braking would occur.

    Recalled vehicles will have the hoses checked to identify if they are within the affected batch. If this is the case they will be replaced with quality assured items.

  24. STEERING COULD BECOME INCREASINGLY STIFF.

    It has been identified that; due to a possible lack of lubricant between the steering rack and pinion the steering may become increasingly stiff to operate. This can eventually lead to damage to the steering rack teeth. As a consequence the steering operation of the vehicle may become increasingly difficult.

    Remedy

    Recalled vehicles will have the steering rack inspected for damage. If no damage is evident the rack and pinion will be lubricated. Should any damage be in evidence the steering rack will be replaced.

  27. POSSIBILITY OF REDUCED BRAKING PERFORMANCE

    Due to the inlet filter for the EGR valve being in an exposed position there is a possibility of water entering the brake servo vacuum pipe. This could result in the possibility of ice forming in the brake servo vacuum pipe in conditions of low ambient temperature. As a consequence this may lead to reduced servo assistance to the braking system.

    Remedy

    Recalled vehicles will have the EGR solenoids checked for the presence of separate air filters. If theses are not evident new solenoids with separate air filters will be fitted.

  36. POSSIBLE REDUCTION IN BRAKE SERVO ASSISTANCE

    On batteries fitted with non-watertight caps rainwater from the windscreen may run into the battery and result in a leakage of battery contents. This leakage may damage the adjacent fabric reinforced rubber brake servo pipe and reduce or cancel the servo assistance available when braking.

    Remedy

    Affected vehicles are being recalled to have a cover fitted to the battery and checking of the brake servo pipe for damage.
