It is possible that one or more air conditioning evaporator blowers can overheat. This will result in a burning smell and/or smoke in the passenger compartment. If action is not taken then it is possible that a fire could occur in the air conditioning unit and could spread to the rest of the vehicle.
Remedy
Recall all affected vehicle and install a protection mechanism into the blower unit.

AIR CONDITIONING UNIT COVER MAY DETACH

It has been identified that under certain circumstances vibration of the AC630 unit can over time result in the air conditioning cover brackets becoming loose or breaking which could cause the cover of the unit to detach. Should this occur persons in the vicinity of the vehicle could be seriously injured.
Remedy
Recalled vehicles will have the current aluminium brackets changed for those of stainless steel construction. In addition further brackets will be fitted to the unit. The manufacturer requests each affected bus operator to carry out an immediate inspection of the brackets which secure the unit cover and carry-out a replacement programme as instructed by the producer.
