  2. THE FLOATING PISTON IN THE FRONT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER MAY CRACK

    Because of a manufacturing fault the floating piston in the front brake master cylinder may crack under high stress conditions typical of track use frequent ABS interventions or if a machine is dropped. This could reduce the efficiency of the front brake.

    Remedy

    On affected machines replace the floating piston in the front brake master cylinder with a modified version.

  3. SUSPENSION MAY FAIL

    If the machine is intensively used off road there is a potential for the shock-end eyelet on the rear shock absorber to fail.

    Remedy

    Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the rear shock absorber with a redesigned unit.

  4. FUEL MAY LEAK

    A fuel leak could occur at the retaining nut for the fuel sensor on the fuel tank which in adverse circumstances can lead to a potential fire risk. The loss of fuel from the fuel tank could occur both whilst riding and when parked.

    Remedy

    Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the fuel tank.

  5. SIDE STAND MAY FAIL

    Due to non-conformity during the production process the side stand could fail in use allowing the machine to fall. This could be a danger to people that are close to the machine.

    Remedy

    Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and check the batch number of the side stand. If necessary the side stand will be replaced.

  6. THROTTLE MAY JAM

    Factory quality testing has found the throttle housing has the potential of causing the throttle cable to jam and become inoperative. This can lead to the rider not being in full control.

    Remedy

    Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the front half throttle housing and both throttle cables.

  7. STEERING LOCK MAY NOT ENGAGE

    Software version of the Hands Free control unit revision 43 under some special conditions of use (upon instrument panel switch on) could fail to disengage the electronic steering lock. It may then be possible to start the engine before realising the steering is still locked.

    Remedy

    A new software version 44 has been designed to allow the reprogram of the hands free control unit.
