  1. THE FLOATING PISTON IN THE FRONT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER MAY CRACK

    Defect

    Because of a manufacturing fault the floating piston in the front brake master cylinder may crack under high stress conditions typical of track use frequent ABS interventions or if a machine is dropped. This could reduce the efficiency of the front brake.

    Remedy

    On affected machines replace the floating piston in the front brake master cylinder with a modified version.

  2. LOSS OF REAR BRAKING EFFICIENCY

    There is a potential for the friction material on the rear brake pads to come away from the brake pad due to a fault in the adhesion. There is a possibility if ignored the brake pads will deteriorate leading to a loss of rear brake efficiency.

    Remedy

    Affected brake pads will be replaced.

    Tests have shown that after high mileage small cracks can appear on the hub section of the rear wheel. If these cracks are ignored the wheel could eventually collapse.

    Due to nonconformity of the of the fuel lines it is possible that a slight fuel leak could develop.

    Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to replace the fuel pipes and where necessary refit the flange bolts with thread locking compound.

  5. FUEL MAY LEAK CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL

    The fuel pump flange and fuel tank coupling may not be to specification and therefore leak fuel. The ensuing leak will eventually cause the engine to stall.

    Remedy

    Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to check the serial number identifying the tank. If the serial number corresponds to faulty items then it will be replaced with a new tank.

  6. WIRING MAY CHAFE CAUSING DAMAGE TO SYSTEMS

    It has been identified that the main wiring harness may come into contact with the vertical cylinder head this can lead to damage to the harness poor running with random fault codes being displayed.

    Remedy

  7. ENGINE MAY FAIL

    The engine may overheat because the water pump impeller shaft is of incorrect length and does not engage drive from the timing layshaft.

    Remedy
