POSSIBLE FLAW IN REAR AXLE

The rear wheel shaft forging may contain a flaw which could cause it to crack and subsequently fail when the motorcycle is being ridden.
Remedy
Recall affected motorcycles and ultrasonically check all rear wheel shafts for flaws. Replace with quality assured shafts where appropriate.

ERRATIC THROTTLE OPERATION

Throttle action may become erratic due to inadequate lubrication.
Remedy
Recall the potentially affected machines disconnect throttle linkage from throttle body lever clean and examine linkage. Lubricate and reassemble. Check for freedom and smoothness of operation.

POSSIBLE SEIZURE OF REAR WHEEL

The roller bearings on the rear hub of the subject machines may not have been lubricated when installed. This could lead to bearing seizure and locking of the rear wheel.
Remedy
Affected machines are being recalled to have the rear hub bearings inspected. Any bearings which display signs of corrosion or discoloration will be replaced.

POSSIBLE TWISTING OF REAR AXLE

A) Under extreme circumstances it is possible for the rear axle to twist. b) Throttle linkage may require cleaning and lubrication.
Remedy
The affected machines are being recalled for:- A) Replacement of the rear axle with a modified unit. B) At the same time the throttle linkage control pin will be cleaned and lubricated.

THROTTLE MAY STICK IN OPEN POSITION

The teflon bushing may slide out of the throttle cable housing and allow the throttle to stick in the open or partially open condition.
Remedy
Recall the affected machines and replace the original throttle cable with a quality assured example.
