1. ENGINE COMPARTMENT OVERHEATING AND CONSEQUENTIAL FIRE RISK

   Defect

   If a vehicle is operated in a condition where the engine bay temperature becomes excessively hot due to a defect with the vehicle there is a possible risk of damage to air supply pipes and noise insulation material and a possible risk of fire.

   Remedy

   Recall affected vehicles and replace turbocharger aluminium heat shield with a fibre version. Remove foam noise insulation material from panels. Fit new type noise insulation panels/heat shields as appropriate.

2. SECURITY OF FRONT AXLE CARRIER BOLTS

   Defect

   On the subject vehicles the wheel carrier bolts on each front hub may not have been tightened to the specified torque. This could result in detachment of the road wheel.

   Remedy

   Dennis Specialist Vehicles have written to the operators of all potentially affected vehicles advising that the carrier bolts should be checked and tightened where necessary to ensure adherence to the manufacturers specification.

3. AIR SUSPENSION/PANHARD ROD LOCATION BRACKET MAY FRACTURE

   Defect

   The offside front air suspension/panhard rod location bracket may fracture due to the mounting bolts losing torque and/or fracturing

   Remedy

   Recall the affected vehicles and replace the subject mounting bolts with high tensile examples. At the same time the air suspension brackets will be checked for damage and replaced where necessary
