  1. SRL251215 – VER-RADBLE

    R/2025/547 · 21 Jan 2026

    21 Jan 2026

    Defect

As part of our ongoing quality monitoring we have determined that on Actros 963 and eActros 983 vehicles the rear wheel arch cover on the front axle could fall off. A design-related plastic rib that is too high leads to a collision between the wheel arch cover and the fender. Due to the excessively high plastic rib on the rear wheel arch cover of the front axle this may be installed with preload and thus some fastening points may not be fully engaged. As a consequence the engaged fastening points of the wheel arch cover may fracture and the wheel arch cover (931 mm x 652 mm x 70 mm approx. 1.81 kg) may completely detach from the vehicle and fall off due to the dynamic load during driving operation. This may increase the risk of accidents for other road users.

    Remedy

As part of the recall campaign the excessively high plastic rib must be shortened on the potentially affected vehicles.

  3. SRL250605 – Replace rear right and left side trim on fender RD-LA-BLE

    R/2025/222 · 14 Jul 2025

    14 Jul 2025

    Defect

The rear wheel arch panel of the wheel arch cover on the front axle may not be fully engaged on Actros 963 vehicles. Due to incorrectly executed geometry by the supplier three out of five clips of the wheel arch panel could come loose. As a consequence the remaining correctly executed mounting clips and the lower screw point may fail and the wheel arch panel may detach completely from the vehicle and fall off. This may increase the risk of an accident for the following traffic.

    Remedy

As part of the recall campaign the wheel arch panels must be replaced on the potentially affected vehicles.

    4 Apr 2025

    Defect

Actros 963 and Arocs 964 models depending on the model designation up to two screws per installed axle bearing bracket may be missing. The axle bearing bracket guides the rear axle in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. Spontaneous failure of the threaded connection can be ruled out. According to the Development department’s assessment loosening of the installed screws is possible at the earliest after approx. 600000 km.

    Remedy

As part of the recall action it must be checked whether all specified threaded connections are present on the axle bearing brackets on the potentially affected vehicles. If not the missing threaded connections must be retrofitted and tightened to the specified torque.
