  1. INCORRECT TRACK ROD ASSEMBLIES FITTED

    Defect

    In some instances subject vehicles have been fitted with an incorrect track rod.

    Remedy

    Recalled vehicles will be fitted with a track rod assembly of the correct type.

  2. INCORRECT SPECIFICATION OF DRAWBAR CROSSMEMBER

    Defect

    It has been identified that a number of vehicles have been produced whereby the rear cross member which carries the drawbar coupling assembly has been incorrectly specified.

    Remedy

    Recall affected vehicles and replace the crossmember with one manufactured to the correct specification.

  3. SEAT BELT INERTIA REEL MAY NOT LOCK.

    Defect

    The lap belts fitted to the passenger seats may have incorrectly manufactured inertia reels. As a consequence a seat belt may not lock in a collision.

    Remedy

    Check the batch number of each seat belt and fit a quality assured replacement where necessary.

  4. POSSIBLE FRACTURE OF PROPELLOR SHAFT

    The propellor shaft fitted to a specific number of vehicles may fracture at certain high rotation frequencies.

    Remedy

    Affected vehicles are being recalled for the fitment of a quality assured replacement propellor shaft.

  5. POSSIBLE DISPLACEMENT OF BRAKE PADS

    Defect

    The front brake disc pad retaining spring may break and allow the disc pads to become displaced. The broken parts of the spring may also damage the tyre valve.

    Remedy

    Replace the brake pad retaining springs with quality assured parts.

  6. CONCERN THAT THE STEERING MIGHT LOCK

    Defect

    The steering lock barrel retaining pin may become displaced and cause the steering lock to engage. Should the lock barrel come out of its housing directional control would be affected.

    Remedy

    The steering column lock will be secured with the addition of a retaining clip.

  7. REAR NEARSIDE ROAD WHEEL STUDS MAY FAIL

    Defect

    The rear nearside road wheel retaining nuts may have been over torqued which could result in failure of the wheel studs.

    Remedy

    Replace the rear nearside road wheel studs and nuts and tighten to the correct torque.

  8. INOPERATIVE LOW FLUID WARNING

    Defect

    The low brake fluid warning light wire between the cab connector and the engine plug at the back of the instrument panel may have been omitted.

    Remedy

    The affected vehicles are being recalled for the fitment of a link harness wire to the engine plug and connector.

  9. POSSIBLE DETACHMENT OF PROPELLOR SHAFT

    Defect

    On vehicles fitted with the ZF S5 42 gearbox the output flange nut may loosen. This could result in detachment of the propellor shaft.

    Remedy

    Recall the affected vehicles for the fitment of a lock washer to prevent loosening of the output flange nut.
