    Defect

    It is possible that the internal circuit capacitor may fail due to excessively high voltage spikes. This can cause thermal overloading of the unit which can result in overheating the production of smoke and in very extreme cases a fire.

    Remedy

    Recall all affected units and replace them with a new unit.
