Defect

Affected vehicles may have been fitted with fuel return pipes not according to specification which can lead to a fuel leak.

Remedy

Check the fuel return pipes and replace if necessary.

Defect

Affected vehicles may have an incorrect speed limitation value displayed on the instrument cluster due to a wrong configuration.

Remedy

Update the configuration in the body control module.

Defect

On affected vehicles the Automatic Emergency Brake (AEB) function may remain deactivated in a specific use case.

Remedy

Update the Front Camera software to ensure correct activation / deactivation of the AEB system.

Defect

On affected vehicles a low AdBlue level message may not be displayed on the Instrument Panel Cluster. This could lead to the possibility of not being able to start the vehicle due to an empty AdBlue tank.

Remedy

Update the Instrument Panel Cluster software.

Defect

On affected vehicles the traffic sign recognition function does not meet regulatory requirements. After de-activation it will remain de-activated even after vehicle restart.

Remedy

Update the radio software via over-the-Air.

Defect

On affected vehicles an incorrect radio may be fitted that does not provide rear view camera functionality to comply with regulatory requirements.

Remedy

On the affected vehicles the radio will be replaced

Defect

Affected vehicles may have been fitted with a metal Manufacturer plate located in the engine compartment that shows the wrong weight values. This can lead to a non-compliance to regulatory requirements.

Remedy

Check and replace the metal Manufacturer plate.

Defect

Some vehicles have been produced without the required earthing connection on the protective cover of the high voltage connection box.

Remedy

Check the affected vehicles and add the missing earthing connection wire between the box and the body if necessary.

The seat fastening to the anchor plate is not correct to specification.�

Remedy

Replace�the swivel plates onto which the front seats are anchored.�

Defect

Affected vehicles are not fully compliant to European regulation (165/2014 + EU 799/2016) covering the �Smart Tachograph� requirements.

Remedy

Replacing the tachograph gearbox and on certain vehicles the windscreen depending on the specification of the vehicle.

The front hub assembly fixing on to the front suspension damper may not be correct to specification.

Remedy

Check the front hub assembly and replace if required.

Defect

The brake pipe fixings may not conform to specification

Remedy

Checking and repairing these fixings and replacing any damaged pipes as necessary

Defect

On the affected vehicles the tightening of a sealing plug on the engine oil gallery may not be correct to specification.This could lead over time to an oil leak which in rare cases could result in oil leaking on to the road.

Remedy

The remedy consists of tightening the engine oil gallery sealing plug to the correct torque.

Defect

The electrical switch of the steering lock may not conform to specification. This could cause the intermittent unwanted switching off of information displays on the instrument panel.

Remedy

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the ignition switch.

Defect

An internal component of the injector may not be to specification which could reduce the fuel pressure in the injection system. The concern can prevent the engine starting and/or cause the engine to stall.

Remedy

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and check the identification number of the engine injectors. Where necessary replace the injectors.

The fixture of the handbrake cable stop support may not have been produced to the correct specification. If not rectified this could cause a reduction in hand brake efficiency.

Remedy

Recall all affected vehicles and install strengthening for the handbrake cable stop support under the vehicle.

The spare wheel winch may fail and not secure the spare wheel to the vehicle so allowing it to detach from the vehicle.

Remedy

Recall all affected vehicles and replace the spare wheel winch.

Defect

The spare wheel winch may fail and not secure the spare wheel to the vehicle so allowing it to detach from the vehicle.

Remedy

Recall all affected vehicles and replace the spare wheel winch.

Defect

It has been identified that the check valve within the brake assistance vacuum pump may suffer from a non-conformity which in time may reduce the braking assistance.

Remedy

Recalled vehicles as a preventative measure will have the subject valve replaced. At the same time certain vehicles will also have the air dosing unit replaced.

It has been identified that; with the engine switched off the side indicator repeaters do not operate when the parking lights are on.

Remedy

Recalled vehicles will have the relevant operating software upgraded.

Defect

It has been identified that a problem may arise with the steering mechanism which can result in hardness whilst manoeuvring.

Remedy

Recalled vehicles will have the steering mechanism checked and lubricated. The mechanism will be replaced if found to be damaged. At the same time certain vehicles will have key components reinforced against the ingress of water. Thus preventing operating faults in the long term.

Defect

Braking maybe impaired due to some brake pipes not being manufactured to conformity.

Remedy

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check the serial numbers of the brake pipes and to replace the brake pipes where necessary.

Defect

Braking assistance could be adversely by freezing of moisture that may accumulate in the vacuum circuit.

Remedy

Recall the vehicles that may be affected and fit a separate air vent complete with filter to each electro valve fitted to the vacuum circuit.

Defect

The brake hoses may chafe on the wheel aches and in extreme cases cause a brake fluid leak. The driver will be informed of the defect by the illumination of a warning lamp on the dashboard. If ignored then this will result in longer than expected stopping distances.

Remedy

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and visually inspect the front brake hoses reinforcement and protection. The brake hoses if worn will be replaced.

The accelerator pedal can become jammed in the fully open position.

Remedy

Replace the accelerator pedal stop with a modified version.

Defect

The handbrake adjustment system may be unreliable which will reduce its efficiency under certain conditions.

Remedy

Check adjust and/or replace the brake shoe mechanisms.

Defect

Inadequate protection of the heater blower wiring harness may result in chafing damage leading to a short circuit and risk of fire.

Remedy

Check for correct routing of the blower wiring harness and fit a protective sleeve.

Defect

The rear suspension cross member may have been cut in production. This could eventually result in failure of the cross member and cause loss of control of the vehicle.

Remedy

Replace any rear suspension cross member found to be cut.

Defect

There is a possibility that the parking brake cable may not be to the correct specification and could break at the rear section resulting in loss of parking brake.

Remedy

Recall affected vehicles and replace parking brake cable.

Defect

Fuel tank rear mountings may not adequately secure the tank with a risk of possible disengagement.

Remedy

Recall affected vehicles and fit additional bolts or reinforcement plates to rear tank mountings depending on original build configuration.
