    Defect

    Due to an in the fitting process replacement screens may not have been correctly fitted. Drivers may notice water ingress and/or wind noise

    Remedy

    On affected vehicles remove and correctly refit windscreen.

  2. REPLACEMENT WINDSCREEN FITTED INCORRECTLY & COULD DETACH IN A COLLISION

    Defect

    A windscreen installer may not have followed due processes when replacing windscreens. These windscreens may allow water ingress cause excessive wind noise and may also detach in the event of an accident.

    Remedy

    Remove and reinstall windscreens on affected vehicles.

  3. WINDSCREEN TRIM MAY BECOME DETACHED

    Defect

    The hazard relates to the outer trims on the left and right hand sides of the windscreens that have been replaced by Belron where one of the outer trims may become partly detached from the car body when driven at high speeds. Although the trim will not become entirely detached from the car due to a screw fixed at the top of the trim the clips that had been used to attach the trim to the car body were not strong enough to hold the trim securely in position. In some cases the trim has swung back breaking the glass roof and/or side windows and/or rear window.

    Remedy

    New modified securing clips will be fitted.

  4. THE BOND BETWEEN THE WINDSCREEN AND THE VEHICLE MAY NOT HOLD IN AN ACCIDENT
