  5. HYDRAULIC CONNECTOR MAY LEAK

    A hydraulic connector may fail and cause a transmission oil leak. This may have an adverse effect on gear selection.

    Remedy

    Add a support bracket which will be installed to hold the pipe securely in position and prevent movement of the assembly.

  7. TRANSMISSION CAN CHANGE GEAR WITHOUT CONTROL FROM DRIVER

    As part of a software update the stored adjustment settings for the automatic clutch were not deleted and re-taught. These stored settings are incompatible with the updated software and can result in incorrect operation in certain circumstances. This may adversely affect gear changes including uncommanded selection of neutral. If neutral is selected manual gear selection will be available.

    Remedy

    On affected vehicles the clutch software will be re-installed and the system re-taught.

  8. SEAT MAY OVERHEAT

    On affected vehicles The control module for the front heated seats mail fail and when the ignition is switched on allow a permanent feed to the heater element(s). In this condition it may not be possible to switch off the heater element and over a period of time this may cause a seat to overheat and smouldering to occur. Occupants will notice an inability to switch the seat heater off using the designated switch and over longer periods a higher than normal temperature of the seat squab.

    Remedy

    Fit additional seat heater monitoring modules. Where necessary seat elements may also be replaced.

  9. DIRECTIONAL CONTROL MAY BE AFFECTED

    It has been established that the Tyre Pressure Management System (TPMS) ECU had been installed with incorrect specification software for the front axle. The software allows for a greater tyre pressure difference between tyres on the front axle. If this occurs it could in extreme circumstances affect the stability and directional control of the vehicle.

    Remedy

    Recall all affected vehicles and install the correct software.

  10. STEERING RESPONSE MAY BE INCORRECT

    It has been identified that during the build process of the subject vehicles a safety critical action to check the torque of the front sub frame assembly bolts was omitted. Should the situation be ignored the driver would become aware of an unusual steering response.

    Remedy

    Recalled vehicles will have the subject bolts inspected to ascertain whether they have been paint marked to indicate that the torque has been checked during production. Should this not be the case the bolts will be re-torqued.

  11. ENGINE MAY NOT START

    Defect

    The engine may not start because the power train to chassis primary earth stud may have intermittent high resistance. This condition may occur when electrical items that draw high current are utilised in which case the electrical path could route through the rear braided hoses causing them to heat up and possibly melt leading to a soft pedalillumination of the brake warning lamp and poor starting.

    Remedy

    Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected so the primary earth stud can be moved to a new location and fit a secondary earth strap between the transmission and chassis.

  12. INTERMITTENT LOSS OF ENGINE POWER ON START UP.

    A fault in the ignition software may result in misfiring and power loss on one bank of cylinders. This situation could also cause overheating of the exhaust catalyst.

    Remedy

    Affected Vehicles are being recalled for replacement of the power train control module.(PCM)

  13. IMPEDED REAR ROAD WHEEL STABILITY COULD OCCUR

    One of the three variants of de Dion rear axle tube assemblies may suffer from stress cracks between the rear hub to axle tube interface following extended use. This could result in impeded rear road wheel stability should failure occur.

    Remedy

    Recall affected vehicles to check and/or replace rear axle.

  14. STEERING RACK MOUNTING BRACKETS MAY CRACK

  15. FRONT DAMPER LOWER MOUNTING BRACKET MAY DETACH

    There is a possibility that the front damper lower mounting bracket may detach due to insufficient welding and displaced damper may restrict steering action.

    Remedy

    Recall affected vehicles and check that damper mounting bracket is butt welded on all three sides. If not replace bracket.

  16. SECURITY OF SEAT BELT SHOULDER ANCHORAGE

    The seat belt B pillar anchorage may disengage from it's index plate during a frontal impact.

    Remedy

    Potentially affected vehicles are being recalled to have the marking on the index plate inspected. Where the marking indicates that the plate is not the correct type it will be replaced with a quality assured example.
